My husband and I are very excited to return this 4th of July. | | | | "I remember going to Chetek has a little girl in the middle 1950's to 1959. It was our family vacation every year in August where I would celebrate my birthday. I loved it there. The first couple of years the cabins had no indoor plumbing, but that was ok with us. We went fishing on lake Chetek, catching many blue gills. It was a wonderful childhood memory and something I will never forget. The owners of the resort were german, and I remember Mrs. ? always baking me a cake for my birthday every year. Unfortunately, my mother was very ill the last time we went, and it was are last vacation together as a family. I will always remember the happy times there it was a wonderful time and place.
